just some random thoughts.
1.add a new water like liquid but if you walk in it you take massive damage
2.maby some ores can be nitrogen related like some sort of nitroglycerin
3.the surface has a tint of blue like voyagers flyby
lastly 4.if possible some small titonquakes that shake the players screen due to Neptunes tidal forces acting agents the rotation
that's all hope this gave at least 1 idea.
